Lively area with entertainment is on the north-west near Grand Bay. East coastline is quite windy, on the contrary the west one is calmer and on most places protected by coral reef. If you wish to spend in this paradise more than 10 nights, the best is to split your stay into two different places on the opposite sides of the island Mauritius. Travel period to Mauritius
Mauritius is situated on the southern hemisphere in the subtropical climate. This location predetermines it as an ideal aim during the time, when it is cold on the northern hemisphere. High season starts from the mid of September till mid of May. For the best months some hotels get very busy. During the most exposed periods, such are Christmas, New Years Eve and Easter, hotels become sold out long ahead of time. We truly recommend booking them at least 6 months in advance and even more. The best rates most hotels on Mauritius offer are from 01DEC - 18DEC and from 01MAY - 30SEP.
